For two years my family (mother, brothers and sisters) have been gathering recipes together for a family recipe book. We decided to do this a couple of years ago and with work, babies and life things have gotten in the way of putting the book together. As it is my job to type all the recipes and put the book together my new years resolution is to finish the recipe book and have it ready for Christmas 2012!

New Year’s Resolution #3: Finish Family Recipe Book

These are a few great ideas to do with all your recipes!

My next resolution is one that I have the most fun with. I find it relaxing and I enjoy looking at all the fun times. So what is it??

New Year’s Resolution #2:

Finish/start scrapbooks for my wedding and my daughter

I was married two years ago but have yet to start on my wedding album. I choose to do my own because I like to journal in the books and write down all the wonderful things that happened. I guess after this long I really need to just do it! Here are a few ideas that I found for page layouts.

This is a great idea to incorporate the dance.

My little girl just turned 15 months and I only have 4 pages done in her book. So before the next little one comes I am hoping to have at least half done. Here are a few layouts that I thought were so cute!

We all make new year’s resolutions but how many of us really keep to them? I thought the best way to "try" to keep to them is to post them on the blog. I have chosen 5 goals for this year and each day leading up to New Years Day I will post what each one is. Then through out the year I will write how I am doing and what I am doing to accomplish them.

The first one is: Organization

We all get those piles of papers that seem to just overwhelm us, or that craft area that seems so cluttered or the closets that just become stuffed with clothes. We my goal is to clean and organize all those areas BEFORE the new baby is born! So while I was looking around I found some great ideas on what to do for each area of the house. Here are a few that I love!

Using upcycled mason jars to store pencils, earsers and more!

Closets are always hard to organize, but this is a great way to start!

We always have books all over the place because we have no place to put them. This is a great idea!

Here is to hoping that my house can become organized and less cluttered!

 Mary’s Lullaby

By: Wanda West Palmer

All mine in your loveliness baby, all mine.

All mine in your holiness baby divine.

Sing on herald angels in chorus sublime;

Sing on and adore, for tonight you are mine.

The wise men are coming to worship their King,

The shepherds are kneeling their homage to bring.

Out yonder the star over Judah will keep.

No harm will befall thee, then sleep baby sleep.

O let me enfold thee, my baby tonight,

While legions are singing in joyous delight.

A new star has risen to hail thee divine,

For you are a king, but tonight you are mine.

Away spectered future of sorrow and plight,

Away to the years that must follow tonight.

The pangs of Gethsemane, let them be dim,

The red drops on Calvary, not Lord, for Him!

O let me enfold thee, my baby tonight,

While legions are singing in joyous delight.

A new star has risen to hail thee divine,

For you are a king, but tonight you are mine.

All mine in your loveliness baby, all mine.

All mine in your holiness baby divine.

Sing on herald angels in chorus sublime;

Sing on and adore, for tonight you are mine.
